How Search Engines Work?

Search engines are designed to crawl and index the World Wide Web discreetly and efficiently to produce useful and informative search results. They search and index millions of web pages containing different and diverse search terms. They run thousands of queries by their user’s everyday. As the web grows everyday, running queries for search engines become even more challenging. Hardware performance and cost are also factors influencing speed of queries and creation of indexes.

How Search Engines Rank the Web?
Search engines base their ranking on an algorithm known as the Page Rank. Page Rank is based on the link structure of the web. The link structure is a citation graph of the web. Search engines create graphs containing millions of hyperlinks. These maps help in rapid calculation of a web page’s “Page Rank”. Page Rank is largely based on academic citation, which is importance based on citation’s and back link’s to a web page. The more the quality and number of citation’s and back link’s a web page receives, the higher will be its Page Rank. Hence, a citation from a page with a higher citation or academic level elicits more Page Rank for a web page, than from a page with less amount of academic value.

Search Engine Architecture
Most search engines are written in high level languages such as C or C++. These languages support development of robust and reliable crawler applications, which need to be run on Solaris or Linux systems. Search engines have dedicated crawler programs to which lists of URL’s are fed. The web pages retrieved by the crawlers are compressed and stored in a repository. Every web page is assigned an ID number. The indexer is a program, which parses the web pages to record each and every word in the web page into a repository. The indexer is also responsible for recording the citations and the back links, which eventually results in the Page Rank for a web page. Parsed web pages are also sorted into Page Rank stacks before being stored in the repositories.

How Search Engines Crawl the Web?
Search engines have at any time about 300 crawlers or ‘Open Connections’ ready to crawl the web. A URL server serves the URLs to these hungry crawlers. Crawlers need to crawl over 100 web pages per second, which amounts to about 600KB of data per second. Robots Exclusion Protocol requires search engines to skip web pages, where the Robot <META> tag is set to NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW. Web sites which do not want their pages crawled or indexed by search engines, resort to this protocol. Search engines skip pages containing this command.

How a Query Generates a Search Result?
A single word query is searched in the parsed web pages stored in the repositories for matches. A query word is checked in the title, anchor text, URL, Meta’s, body content and other attributes for occurrences. Their individual count makes their weight, which is the number of occurrences of the query in the attribute. They are then assessed by their counter weights in comparison to each other. A factor is also involved in assessing a query. It is the importance and value assigned to every attribute occurrence. This leads to a collective weight count and factor, which is used to assess the relative relevance of the web page to the keyword in comparison to other web pages. This is combined with Page Rank to present a search result with the most relevant results.
Multiple word queries are assessed similarly, but weight is dependent on proximity of the search keywords. The closer they occur in the web pages, the more weight and factor they earn. Hence, proximity is equated with relevance and meaning by which collective weight and factor is attributed to them.

How they Earn Income and Stay in Business?
Search engines are dependent on commercial advertisements displayed during search results to earn their livelihood. These search results are relevant to the search keywords. Search engines allow users to advertise their products online for a fee. These advertisements are displayed on the top and right corners of the search results. User’s finding these advertisements useful, in most probability do check them out too. Hence, this leads to more exposure and profitability for the advertisers, due to the search results.

Most Popular Search Engines
The most popular search engines are known by their ability to conduct lightening fast web searches and produce most relevant search results. Every search engine has its own search algorithm and page ranking system. Users always opt for engines, which provide them with relevant and informative searches. The most popular search engines as of now are Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, and AltaVista. Also, engines which keep their algorithm updated as per new web trends do end up attracting more users than the rest.

Ben Hogan Apex Blade Irons

Even though Callaway Golf bought out Ben Hogan Apex Blade Irons, a premium creator of golf supplies the name still has power in the world of vast greens and sand traps. The golf irons still bear the name of the man who created a company famous for high powered golf irons that give a professional slice to every ball. Beginners rarely have as much luck with these irons due to the fact that they are much less forgiving. The winner of 63 PGA championships, Ben Hogan applied his understanding of the mechanical aspects of a good swing to his irons. They provide more control and a better feel than irons made for newer golfers who need less precise irons. An experienced golfer with a low handicap knows how to set his swing and where he wants the ball to go, what they need is a club that will listen to them and do exactly what they tell it to.

The Ben Hogan Apex Blade Irons have gold steel shafts, and S4 Stiff Flex which provides a more rigid swing to contact with the ball as hard, or as soft as you desire. For an amateur the momentum of the swing can be difficult to determine and these clubs will not give them any leeway. As a golfer's skills advance using a club with a more rigid shaft means they will get exactly the power of swing they determine is necessary and that makes for much more control and precision.

Each Ben Hogan Apex Blade Irons set comes with a 3-9 iron and a PW that is just right for the best players in the sport to get even better.

Dogs-Mans Best Friend

Dogs can see better in the dark than humans. Their vision enables them to identify fast moving objects due to a higher flicker rate. They can identify people from a mile’s distance. They hear between 40 to 60,000 Hertz. They are excellent hunters and have been used throughout history for their hunting abilities. Their sense of smell enables them to detect prey from large distances. Their olfactory lobes are more developed than other animals. These lobes help them identify and discriminate between more than a million smells. Their ability to hear at very low and very high frequencies make them perfect candidates for hunting prey in the past.

Dogs have been known to rescue people trapped under houses and debris during earthquakes and storms. K-9 teams in law enforcement and officers in tracking units are accompanied by them. They are also used to detect contraband, smuggled goods, and drugs at airports. Many work to watch homes and large estates as guard dogs. As household pets they provide company to young and old alike, and are their master’s best friend. Bomb detection units use them for their tracking capabilities to identify dangerous objects. Dogs in the past have been known to help and rescue ship wrecked, marooned and lost people in oceans.

At an estimate, there are about 400 million dogs in the world. They belong to the mammal group of Canidae, which includes wolves, foxes, jackals, and coyotes. Dogs bear their litters 56 to 72 days after mating. A litter consists of an average of 6 puppies. They are known to have a high degree of cognitive intelligence among animals.  Also, dogs are capable of understanding social behaviours and develop a pattern of recognizing repeated manners of a social system. This makes them adapt faster to communities and societies than other animals.

They are consumed as food in many East Asian countries. Dog meat is a source of vitamins and iron. It is also known to have medicinal properties. They can cause diseases in humans from toxocariasis to hookworm. Dog bites are known to cause rabies. This is caused by being bitten by an infected animal. Symptoms include malaise, headache, fever, acute pain, mania, lethargy and may also cause death. The smallest known dog is a Yorkshire Terrier and the largest known is an English Mastiff. The coats of dogs are usually single layer, but can be double coated in colder climates. They are known to be vulnerable to theobromine poisoning. This is due to the ingestion of chocolate, especially dark chocolate. Dogs are also vulnerable to fleas, ticks, mites, hookworms, and tapeworms.

The Benefits of having a California based Internet Marketing Company

The world of the wonderful internet has open the doors to businesses from anywhere and every to market their products and services in a fast and easy way. A man in Hong Kong can sell a rookie Babe Ruth baseball card to a woman in Canada. A deal can be struck, the money transferred and the shipping ordered and paid for, all in under 5 minutes and the touch of a few buttons. With this marketing availability businesses are moving out of their local areas and expanding to other cities, states and even countries. You can be based in any city in the world and market your products and promote your services in California. The best way to do this would be to get yourself a good SEO company, California based, to help you with your marketing. SEO California internet marketing is theoretically no different then internet marketing anywhere else in that the techniques and the way you analyze the market are the same. Like every market, California has its trends and its consumers have their ways. An SEO California internet marketing company would be more aware of these trends and ways and could help you to better market your business in CA, as opposed to a non-California based SEO company. CA has so many different kinds of people and trends; you really need to be on the inside to know what’s going on.

Why California Internet Marketing?

California has more people than any other US State. That alone is enough of a reason to market your business in The Golden State. You will find a vast variety of people there and many kinds of businesses. You have the aerospace market in the south and the agricultural market in the Central Valley. You have wine coming from Napa Valley, Santa Barbra, Sonoma Valley, Paso Robles and Temecula Valley. There’s the high tech region of Silicon Valley which brings electronics and computers, and we can’t forget Hollywood with its famous entertainment companies. This gives you a vast amount of companies that you can trade with or sell too. Again, to really market to these companies you need an SEO California internet marketing company that knows these industries and what they are looking for to help you. Each one of these industries has specific niches and more niches within those niches. The keywords used to search for things within these niches can be just a few out of thousands of words. Without the proper SEO California internet marketing tools and company, you will get lost in the ocean of keywords and your site will just become another drop in this ocean. Your site will not stand out at all and you’ll be lucky if it gets any traffic. Everyone is trying to market in California now, which means you have a lot of completion. Unique niches are rare these days. Most people take a niche and tweak it a little to make their product or services different. This is good but doesn’t leave much room for keyword play. That makes the SEO game even more difficult. If you do have a niche that no one else has this can also complicate things as the new product will have to be found by consumers using old keywords. Until your unique product or services are known world wide and your brand name becomes the keyword in a search, you will be right up there fighting with the competition for the search engine results.

California SEO Company

An SEO Company, CA based, will know and be able to figure out exactly where, how and to whom your product and services should be marketed; specifically for the consumers in California. This applies to individual customers and to companies. An SEO California internet marketing company will set your site up with the keywords it needs to get traffic from every potential customer. It will make sure that if a corporation needs your services, a simple search on the web will lead them to your page as the first link in the search results. If a mom in San Francisco needs a good babysitting service and that’s what you do, then your page will have the keywords needed to land her there first, making you the first company she considers for her needs. The benefit of having an SEO California internet marketing company is that because they are located in that state they have a much better idea of what that mothers needs are and because they are right there they can analyze those needs much more closely. All this is crucial to perfecting the SEO on your website and getting your page at the top of the search results. Who better to know what the demographics are of mothers in California? A company that is based in New York can research online the statistics of mothers in California but they won’t be able to give you the specific numbers that an SEO California internet marketing company can.

How to Find a Good SEO Company in CA

All of the above mentioned skills, techniques and benefits of an SEO company, California based, are what a company should be able to do. My Strategies for Fighting Anxiety

Anxiety is a natural expression among all living beings. A person encounters anxiety at one time or another during his lifetime. This might be due to an event like a death of a loved one, calamity due to destruction of house or property, loss of job, disappointment in family affairs or relationships. Recently, a friend of mine suffered job loss and was contemplating suicide. I had to personally talk to him out of it. This was aggravated by the fact that he was facing discordant relationships at home. Usually, anxiety is not singular in character, but accompanied by multiple breakdowns. Perhaps, it is the nature of anxiety to be of multiple characters.

Animals are known to display anxiety in the form of separation anxiety. Pets may choose to chew, bark, whine, scratch furniture, or mutilate their body, if left alone in confinement. Animals with this behaviour are known to be ultra sensitive. In many cases, doors or windows are broken in escape attempts. Animals experience extreme stress in such situations and are known to show such symptoms. Hence, stress can be termed as the main source of anxiety. Therapists suggest calm in handling anxiety affected animals. They advise to provide attention and company to such animals.

There are many ways of dealing with anxiety. To deal with anxiety, you need to know the cause or reason for it. One good way is to analyse the reason for your foul mood. Stress as we know is the main cause of anxiety. To tackle stress, one must try to develop calm. Many people are known to take their lives lightly. Anxiety teaches us to take stock of our lives. It teaches us to face realities we have been ignoring or running away from. For instance, if we don’t save enough for a long time, we could end up in a situation, wherein we might land with serious debts and bad loans. This can cause severe anxiety, forcing us to cut down or foot our basic necessities, such as grocery bills, necessary apparel or winter clothing bills, trips to the internet café, etc. This can eventually cause us to isolate and withdraw into a shell from the rest of society. Hence, developing healthy saving habits help us stay in good standing in the face of difficult situations and prevent anxiety. Another reason for anxiety developing in people is among those who do not maintain healthy or lasting relationships. People who are single, loners, or having a history of discordant relationships are known to exhibit symptoms of anxiety related stress. By maintaining relationships at home, staying in touch with friends, trying to live with partners and trying to amalgamate with our immediate society such as workplace, neighbourhood, community or town enables us to be less prone to anxiety.

People are also prone to anxiety, if they do not meet the targets they set for themselves. These people breathe on high peaks and valleys. High amount of excitement, coupled with very high leverage of expectations can eventually result in exagerrated amounts of anxiety. By maintaining a time table of our activities, our plans for the next six to 12 months, by keeping tag of our finances, we can lower our expectation levels from future events. This can mightily reduce our anxiety levels. In short, being realistic rather than bombastic in our expectations from either our work place, dream of owning a home, achievements from children or in finding the perfect spouse can reduce anxiety. Some people are known to harbor feelings of hate, violence, and dislike for other people, communities, races or work profiles. Such people are lacking in basic hygienes of harmony. Their minds are always lost in selfish thought and action. This eventually leads them to take to negative thought patterns and philosophies. They become interested in causing harm to others as also themselves, without taking account of the consequences. This can cause anxiety among the people around them and themselves, eventually resulting in their total failure to come to terms with reality. Hence, anxiety can also result from our inability to come to terms with immediate situations. By trying to understand other peoples way of life, their thought patterns and belief systems, we can always try to be more tolerant towards others. This can increase our scales of inner harmony, resulting in less anxiety.
Taking all such situations and mind sets into account, anxiety can be curbed by one and all. I have personally followed the above rules in earnest and have reaped rich results. Hope you can replicate it too in your daily lives.

PPC Search Engine Marketing

The internet has introduced us to the immense possibilities of a highly connected and networked world. Search engines are a new way of searching the web for information. PPC advertising rates of search engines determine how your products get to be seen by people browsing the internet for information. This makes marketing to search engines all the more important.

What is PPC Search Engine Marketing?
PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click. Pay-Per-Click is the paradigm for search engines to charge user’s for their PPC advertising time on their search results. This is very similar to paying for commercials on TV. You pay for the airtime on the shows to which your wares are to be displayed. PPC makes you pay for every click a user generates on search results advertising. PPC search engine advertising can be designed to be more effective and competitive by the proper use of keywords. Bids are placed by advertisers on search engines and other PPC search engine marketing services, on keywords or phrases to let their PPC ads get more exposure. PPC ads can be placed on a single website or on different websites by the ad campaigns. PPC Search Engine Marketing requires proper use of keywords in search engine listings and selective placement of ads on an advertising network.

A PPC bid amount is the PPC advertising rates an advertiser is ready to pay for every click on his ad by a user. This is different from CPM, which are cost-per-thousand-impressions used by some advertising networks. For PPC search engine marketing to be successful, you need to have proper analytics in place. Analytics involves tracking of PPC advertising campaigns on search engines. Google analytics is a service which offers free tracking of your ad campaigns effectively. Most PPC campaigns are contracted to search engine marketing (SEM) agencies. These agencies have dedicated keyword optimization and ad placement executives on stand by to take care of your PPC search engine marketing needs. PPC advertising services offered by these agencies are exclusive in nature. Affiliate/Performance marketing involves calculating advertising revenues based on PPC ads placed on other websites. This is known to be the most effective form of PPC search engine marketing.

How are PPC ads bid for?
Search engines run ongoing auctions for their advertising spaces. When a search query is entered in search engines such as Google, Yahoo or Overture, it will display the latest organic and advertised search results. An advertiser declares his budget for a campaign and is asked to bid for a keyword or a list of keywords. As customers click on his ads, the PPC rates increase and he would be out placed by his competitors for the same ad position unless he has bid high enough to keep them at bay. Hence, bidding for ad positions and keywords is a continuous process of competing bids by advertisers. The bids which receive the most number of clicks are said be relevant to search listings. This is known as the Click-Through-Rate or CTR. Search engines usually award bids based on both PPC and CTR. CTR is construed as the standard for link relevance by search engines. Hence, if your ad is not up to the mark, a high bid might not receive as much attention as one with relevant click rankings.

PPC Affiliate/Performance Marketing
PPC affiliate marketing is a system by which an affiliate of an affiliate network, who is an external entity or agency, places a bid for keywords on a search engine. Once he has won certain bids, he places ads of merchants on this keyword positions. When these ads are clicked on, the customer is tracked. When the customer buys the merchants products, the affiliate network and the affiliate is compensated by the merchant. This is a profit sharing model in which the search engine, the merchants, the affiliate network and the affiliate work together. This is also known as performance marketing as revenue is based on actual sale and profit sharing.

Contextual Advertising Vs PPC Marketing
Contextual advertising involves the placement of ads on other networks such as banner ads, text ads, link ads and popup ads. It is an effective way of reaching a target audience as set by the advertiser. These advertising networks are low on click volumes, but high on impressions. They are also known to be able to place ads based on content, as many of their websites are rich in content. It is also known as precision marketing for its accuracy to place relevant ads on highly targeted positions.

Return on Investment (ROI)
PPC marketing is expected to provide enough returns for merchants to stay profitable in their advertising endeavors. Revenue is derived on performance and conversion rates. As tracking is weak with PPC ads, economies of scale are difficult to come by. Advertising budgets are decided between the merchants and the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) agencies. Merchants usually spend 10-20% of their budgets on PPC advertising. Sometimes a flat or hourly rate is worked out. A large part of PPC advertising is also based on how one targets the audience. This can be based on demographics-also known as geographical targeting, content of the websites the ads are served on, age groups of the audience, economic situations such as a boom or a bust, ad copy. The failure to address such issues can be as serious a flaw as the inability to choose proper keywords or keyword targeting. Conversions depend on such factors for PPC advertising. Keyword choosing tools are provided by many search engines. These are used to analyze the keywords on a targeted website, geographical location or demographic group. Also, posting on blogs and forums, writing articles and optimizing the website for using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies can also increase the ROI.

PPC Search Engines

PPC search engines are search engines of the future. By saying this, we can safely conclude, that what we had yesterday in television, radio, and newspapers, we have it today in the PPC search engine. These engines, which deliver search results, outdo their predecessors. This is because; they deliver search relevant PPC paid listings. Do you recall your television or radio or newspaper ads, serving you content relevant advertisements? That has never happened. Search engines, thus have been more egalitarian and have valued people’s need for information; more over their business needs.

How do PPC Search Engines Work?
PPC search engines are based on pay-per-click advertisements. These advertisements generate revenue for them. Advertisers bid on keywords. These keywords are valued, according to the demand for them among advertisers. For instance, a keyword for books might have a minimum bid of $3.00 per click on a search engine, without a maximum bid amount; whereas, a bid for vacuum containers may have a minimum bid amount of $0.05 cents. Advertisers have to quote a budget for their advertising campaigns. A per day budget is also to be quoted. Every time, an advertisement appears in a search listing with the keywords in the query, the advertiser’s ads are shown on the top and side bars.

PPC Bidding System
User’s who click on PPC ads are redirected to the respective advertiser’s websites. The search engines track the clicks to this websites to record them in their click reports. As the clicks are registered with the PPC search engine, the bidding system is updated for the keywords. The keywords become more competitive and expensive to bid for; as demand for them increases. Advertisers with higher bids for a keyword outplace others with lesser ones, making them lose out on the search results. Hence, ad marketers have to constantly keep a watch on their ad reports to know if they have been outbid by others. This can help them increase their bids for the keywords or change the ad campaign budgets to other keywords.

PPC Search Engine Programs
PPC search engine programs are many in number. It can be difficult to assess, which search engine programs to subscribe to.
Google Adwords-This program is by far the most popular due to the amount of traffic volume it offers, quality of clicks and better reporting.
Yahoo! Search Marketing- It has volume and quality of sponsored listing. The listings are offered in monthly packages.
MSN AdCenter-This also offer quality search traffic. It has the MSN Live and the Bing search engine to support its search programs.

PPC Search Engine Advertising
Advertising on PPC search engines is less expensive compared to other media such as television, radio, or newspapers. This is because PPC search engines charge their advertiser’s for the clicks or visits and not for the number of times the ads appear in search listings also known as impressions. This keeps the program cheap and effective. PPC search engines are vulnerable to the phenomenon of Click Fraud. Click Fraud can seriously affect any genuine ad serving by producing false results. This is due to clicks generated by individuals or companies with the key intention of misleading PPC search engines by increasing the bid cost for their competitors. This can seriously affect ROI for advertisers.

Google’s Adwords program for paid search listings is known to be both popular and effective. Its popularity is largely due to the high number of search queries being run on its search engine everyday. The PPC search engine generates more than a million queries every single day from every part of the world. People find it user friendly, information rich and fast. Search results are also known to be very relevant to search keywords. The Adwords program has been highly successful for the search engine and has commanded respect among advertisers and users alike. One of the reasons for its popularity has been the relative relevance of its ad servings to the content of the search queries.

PPC Search Engine Management
Managing your PPC search engine programs can be both tedious, time consuming and misdirecting. Assigning your PPC search engine program to a professional ad serving agency is a way of handling your PPC search engine programs in a more efficient and orderly manner. Most merchants have a 10-20% budget assigned to PPC search engine advertising. Many see these programs as a form of improving profitability for their products and enterprises. Return on investment (ROI) is of key importance in developing a PPC search engine program for internet marketing of one’s products and solutions.

Programs such as Google’s Adwords Professional are setup with the intention of training people to become better PPC search engine managers. These professionals are well equipped to choose keywords and budgets for their clients. They are also trained to produce better ROI from PPC search engine programs.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search engine optimization strategies enable webmaster’s to optimize their websites for search engine results. As results are both organic search and paid listings, both of them have to be taken into account. By improving site content, Meta tags, anchor tags and regularly submitting to websites every 2-4 weeks, advertiser’s can improve search engine listings of their websites. This can eventually prove better than a PPC advertising strategy in the long run.

Good SEO practices can eventually lead to better listings on both organic and paid search listings. Internal and external linking strategies help in producing better website rankings. All in all, to keep the search engines happy and the spiders coming for more; a SEO optimized website can produce more results than a non-optimized one. Search engines love websites who respect them for w

Directories are dependent on their users to provide data of their listings. Webmaster's submit information about their websites into these directories to be listed in them. Many search engines in the mid 2000’s were party to this malpractice, by allowing people and organizations to commercialize their search results. Nowadays, search engines are more cautious and unforgiving to such spammers. This is due to their search results being overtly hyped, irregular and due to complaints by users of poor search results.

Ways of Spamming the Search Engines
Search engines are spammed in several ways by users. Some are as simple as repeating similar words that have high keyword value more than once in the web pages to appear more relevant to as complex as building doorway or web pages filled with false keywords to attract web page indexing.

Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing of meta tags and web pages is known as keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing falsely improves relevance of web pages or websites and also increases website rankings in search results.

Scraper Sites
These are content sites offering relevant content to information seekers, but in reality they are only content extractors that extract content from other websites. Though, these websites seem very relevant, the content obtained by them is without permission from the original websites.

Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are web pages setup by websites to increase link traffic to websites. They have very little relevant content, but they might be linked to parent websites to increase their page ranks. Cloaking
Cloaking is a method by which link URLs are fashioned to look like normal web pages, but a different URL is served to search engines. This is done to generate false traffic and the actual content on the website is also different.

How do Search Engines Detect Spam?
Search engines use various methods to detect spam. These are fundamental to the way spam is handled by these search engines.

URL Properties
Spam URLs generally are known to be long as they are automatically generated using general alphabetical and numeric sequences. Search engine algorithms are tuned to detect and catch such automatic URL creators.

Linkage Properties
If links present on a page are out of sync with the content on the resultant page with respect to category, geography, or age group, it is construed as being spam. This is done by websites to increase their page relevance on search engines.

Why do People Spam the Search Engines?
Search engines are a major source of revenue to many businesses and individuals who need to advertise their wares on the search listings. By creating false website rankings, businesses or individuals are able to exhibit their products and services at no extra cost to them or their enterprises on search results.

This also enables them to be free themselves from other cost overheads such as hiring web content developers, copywriters, or programmers to create the excellent content and information rich websites that are required to achieve a search engines attention. Hence, greed is the major reason of search engine spam.

How do Search Engines Ban Spamming Websites?
Search engines are known to ban spamming websites from their indexes. This is done to keep their search results clean and error free. Many companies are known to hire unethical search engine optimization experts to improve their search engine listings. Search engines are always being tricked by these cons to increase their website rankings at their cost. Many of these companies and their agencies get banned by search engines. Once they are banned they would start again as a new outfit with a new website address, a new name, a new IP address and repeat the spam again. Search engines remove the names of such websites from their search listings and indexes. They receive no traffic from them and are banned for all time.

Safety Measures for Your Website
To ensure that your website does not end up being banned by search engines, certain key points should be remembered. Do not hire unethical website search engine optimizing agencies, be careful not to overstuff your meta keywords and content with similar words, double check the links appearing on your website to ensure they link to websites with similar content, do not try to build doorway pages or pages linking to your website but lacking in any relevant content, do not publish your link URLs wantonly on blogs, forums, or on other people’s web pages as comments to articles.

All these activities can increase your chances of staying safe from being blacklisted by the search engines. Good measures you can adopt to keep your website safe from being spam categorized is to submit your website regularly to search engines, using the nofollow tag for blogs on your website, building your website pages with proper names, keeping meta’s error free, and building clear, concise and rich content.

DiamondBack Topanga Suspension Mountain Bike Review

DiamondBack Topanga bikes are a good deal for the price. Most retail for $300 to $600 a piece. The trouble with this bike is that the top seat comes loose after a hit, accident or collision. It also makes an incredibly high and loud grinding/squeak noise. This can be fit with some Allen Wrench torque. The suspension fork has a problem with being adjusted and not being good enough for some hard riding action. The screw adjusters at the top of the fork are difficult to turn with your bare fingers. Try using pliers instead. But this sort of gear works well for beginners, who do not need much tweaking to get along. The pedals are also not lasting and might come off after a good bashing. The good thing about these bikes is that the tires can withstand any terrain and do not start wearing off like other bikes. It has a great drive train too. The chains do not get affected easily inspite of a lot of dirt clinging to them. The rims are solid too. They do not break or crack even if you drop them down, hit them or throw heavy or sharp things at them. This bike is ideal for anyone who does fast downhill’s and long climbs. It has a lot of suspension. This bike is ideal for people riding to work, to commute, working out and for mountain trails. A single bike for both the city and the mountains. The Benefits of Stamped, Stenciled, or Stained Concrete‏

Stamped concrete is patterned or imprinted concrete. It is designed with patterns or imprints to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile or wood. Stamped concrete is used to build pool decks, driveways, entries, courtyards or patios. Concrete patterns, concrete colors, cost of stamped, imprinted concrete in relation to other materials are more effective. As concrete is composed of cement, colors and patterns are designed to match the stone, tile or other concrete patterns. Designs of steps, courtyards, or fountains are made into the concrete. Colors of stamped concrete are made to blend with other decorative elements such as exposed aggregate and acid-etch staining. Patterns in bond brick, hexagonal tile, worn rock or stone are also used. Concrete is cost effective compared to marble flooring, linoleum, wood or tiles.

Stencil concrete is a design method of drawing various patterns on concrete floors with the help of stencils. Stencils are used on new concrete or existing concrete. It is based on blocking techniques. Many decorative designs can be effected by using high quality paper stencils. Patterns need to be aligned before starting a stenciling procedure. After concrete is poured on the floors, the surface is puffed up and even edged. Stencil borders are then applied to the surface. The field for the design is adjusted. Tools such as speed trowel, stencil roller or Fresno are used. Color hardener is used as per the choice of colors. Surface abrasion, wear resistance and true color have to be taken into account when applying colors to the concrete. The color is floated over the concrete and then toweled. Other possible finishes are broom, sponge float, wood float, cork float and hard trowel. A release agent is affected over the surface as per the user’s needs. Texture is applied over this. The concrete can be removed once it is incapable of adhering to the stencil.

Stained concrete is made by staining, coloring, and designing. It is often referred to as colored concrete. This design technique is immensely popular among homeowners, designers and builders due to the different types of variations obtained by combining concrete, colors and creativity. The slab has to be washed to remove the excess concrete sticking on it. Muriatic acid solution is used on top of this surface. The concrete has been cleaned to the desired color and dried; two coats of sealer are applied. 15% to 20% acrylic should be used for the first coat and 25% to 30% acrylic for the second coat.
Dusting to remove grit and damp mopping with the help of a neutral cleaner will enhance the floor.

Lowell Russell Concrete Inc. in Minnesota has over 35 years of building stamped, stenciled and stained concrete. If you need to have concrete floors done at your work place, home, business center, shopping mall or daycare center in Minnesota, you can always rely on this company to give shape to your designs.

Decorative concrete is an obsession with this family run business. Lowell Russell Concrete Inc. is recognized by both the Better Business Bureau and Angie’s list of offering excellent decorative concrete services. They use modern tools and equipment to give shape to your designs.

Iron Horse Azure Full Suspension Mountain Bike Review

As I am an old fogey biker, I was hunting for something for this winter that would not get me into an accident or needing me to use my body weight to brake on road trails. Hence, I tried out the Iron Horse Azure Full Suspension Mountain Bike for the hills and valleys in Wales, where I live. What I found was a bike that was a monster of a mountain bike that could fly down the mountain trails and up the hills in a jiffy. An excellent machine to make the most of your stay in the countryside, among the hills and the mountains. It is both quick and flexible to move, without having to wait for a second thought. The ability of this machine to manouvere in and around mud holes and ditches is appreciable.

The Iron Horse Azure makes long distance mountain biking the shortest, due to its use of the superb DW-Link suspension system. This suspension leverages anyone across countryside’s, river trails, and mountain trails with surprising power and efficiency. Fast racing on a single-track is never a problem and a climb is also not difficult. What it’s got to perform this tricks are the DT Swiss wheels, RaceFace Evolve cranks and Avid Juicy 7 disc brakes. This mountain jaguar is made to kill with its sleek marathon run body, being sculpted around the DW-link suspension system. The Iron Horse Azure makes Marathon XC performance an everyday ride to enjoy. The 6069 aluminium chassis puts in a tough and sturdy ride, with no sweat of flex or breakage that destroys other XC bikes on the market. This bike’s 90mm rear travel manouvres on a 100mm fork with extraordinary peak and efficiency. It has been highly appreciated for its speed, support and pick up by mountain bikers around the world and is also preferred by teams competing in marathon XC events.

The make of this bike combined with its design makes it stand out from the crowd. The sleek body and the grip of the open-tread Continental tires work tenaciously in the worst rainy, wet or rocky mountain terrain or slopes. The rear end is bump resistant and never moves off the ground at low and high speeds even at high gear change modes. The Azure’s rear end acts like a shark’s tail end and is the direction balancing arm for the bike. At high speeds, it is this rear end that keeps the weight of the bike down, especially when you are speeding away like a speed monster. The pedals are made effective from contact and shock absorption at rear wheel movement. The pedal makes the reflex to the rear wheel at higher speeds resulting in a traction boost. Though, all may not like this traction boost, as it is arrives as a surprise shocker, many bikers like this bike for the same. When speeds are higher and bumps become frequent, the floating pivot point has an uncanny and wacky experience that no longer feels like a mountain bike. With the extraordinary weight distribution and machine handling, you eventually have a bike that is an extraordinary slope descender. Getting this bike will help you get over your mountain biking phobias and woes.

What is Dengue Fever?

Dengue fever is a disease from a family of viruses spread by mosquitoes. It is usually followed by acute illness along with symptoms such as headache, fever, exhaustion, appearance of rashes on a person’s arms, high temperature, severe joint and muscle pain, swollen glands, and rash. Dengue is caused by one of four serotypes of a virus. But the affected person develops immunity for that serotype for a lifetime. It makes sleep difficult, making one delirious. There is also blood in the stool and complete loss of appetite. It is also known by its other name, “breakbone” or “dandy fever”. Dengue hemorrhagic is a more severe form of the illness, symptoms of this fever are headache, fever, rash, and hemorrhage in the body. Small red or purple blisters under the skin called Petechiae, nose or gum bleeding, black stool and easy bruising of the body are possible signs of this hemorrhage.

Where is it a Risk? (Meaning what situations promote dengue fever)
Dengue is known to be a tropical disease affecting countries such as the Caribbean islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, South East Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) and the Middle East. People with low immunity are known to be at risk with dengue. People travelling to these countries are high risk candidates for contracting this disease due to their lack of exposure to such environments. Dengue is known to easily affect people from colder climates, who have less immunity to tropical weather. As dengue is caused by mosquito bites, people living in areas without proper water, garbage or urinal hygiene are at risk of this disease. The mosquito is notorious in the rainy season, laying its eggs in flowering pots; plastic bags filled with water and buckets or cans with water. Water is the chief source of laying eggs for these mosquitoes known as Aedes Aegyti. The mosquito is the carrier of the disease from one person to another by its bite and the virus is transmitted to them.

What are its Symptoms?
After the mosquito has bitten the person, there is an incubation period from 3 to 15 days. Symptoms range form headache, nausea, chills, pain in eye movements, and low backache. Pain in the legs and joints, rise in body temperature, low blood pressure, and low heart rate.

What are Ways to Avoid Getting it?
Avoiding water infested areas prone to mosquitoes, eradication of water filled pots, buckets or cans. Using mosquito netting at home, applying mosquito repellant cream on the body and spraying mosquito killer sprays helps eradicate the threat of this disease.

HTML-The Source of the Information Super Highway

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It was created by a physicist Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 in the form of a proposal to CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), where he was employed, along with a colleague. The proposal was for an internet based system developed with hypertext. He chose to call this internet system as the World Wide Web.

HISTORY
A first draft was published in 1991 by CERN by the name of HTML Tags. In 1993, a similar draft was published by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) called Hypertext Markup Language. In 1995, HTML 3.0 was run on IETF’s Arena browser, but failed due to improper browser development and the large number of demands by vendors for features. HTML 4.0 was introduced in 1997 by W3C. It came with three flavors, Strict, Transitional and Frameset. In January 2008, HTML 5.0 was published by the W3C as a working draft.

WHAT IS HTML MADE-UP OF?
HTML is a structured language, built on tags to define content to be used in its viewers like browsers, content management systems (CMS), web page design editors and Wikis. Tags are elements of the page such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, or quotes. Content or language is written between the tags. Images, videos, and objects are also embedded in these tags. Tags have attributes that define and control their behaviour. For instance, the font tag has the attributes name, size, and color. HTML supports other elements of page design known as cascading style sheets (CSS). Among scripts, JavaScript, VBScript and LiveScript are supported, with JavaScript being used most. JavaScript is used for client side scripting of forms, dynamic menus, and dynamic HTML.

HTML has other extensions of XHTML, XML, and SGML. Berners-Lee introduced HTML as an application of SGML and a derived form of it. Though, HTML is about text and image formatting to dynamically format web pages, SGML is generalized markup based on elements with separation of structure and processing. XML is extended markup language used to transact data and content. XHTML is the hypertext version of XML, with DTDs, schemas, and namespaces. XHTML like XML requires the document to be valid and well-formed. Browsers need an XML parser to process XHTML documents. XHTML documents are more reliable and data friendly. Unlike HTML, reading and writing of data is easier with XHTML due to the availability of DTDs and Schemas.

HOW DOES SEO WORK WITH HTML?
Search engine optimization is used by web page designers and website developers to optimize their web pages for the search engines. Search engines crawl and spider the web frequently to index updated web pages on websites. Search engines look for Meta tags in web pages to identify their content. They also search the words in the web pages to delineate their content. HTML pages with the keywords Meta are of prime importance to search engines. Web pages are categorized based on this Meta’s. Next, search engines read the web pages to understand what the page is talking about. Based on this research and analysis, the page is given a sub-category and relevance. Page ranking is also done in similar manner. Relevance is based on the frequency of certain terms in a page along with the number of web pages linking to it.
Search engines only index the text in the content of web pages. Images, videos, Flash files are ignored by search engines. Some search engines are known to index PDF files. Google is one of them. But, this is more of an exception than a rule. Text is of primary importance to search engines as of now. Many search engines are working on new technologies to index images, videos, and other content. To reach top search engine positions, one should learn to optimize each and every page of their websites. Search engines have a special affinity for optimized pages as they are fast to read, well written, easy to comprehend and to the point. Unoptimized pages are difficult to read, takes them time to understand, may contain content garbage and may mislead them at categorization. Though, unoptimized pages are not rated lesser on relevance and page rank levels, it might become a factor for competing on keywords. Hence, a website with super content might be lax about their keywords meta’s, content grammar, or sentence formation, but may still earn high on relevance and page rank.

HOW CAN ONE USE AND MANIPULATE HTML FOR SEO PURPOSES AND BENEFITS?
Search engines base their indexing on text content. Text is of supreme importance to them. One way of manipulating HTML to achieve higher search engine rankings is to improve the content on the web pages. This can be done by using proper English, correct content grammar and appropriate sentence formation. Clean content makes more sense to the search engines compared to garbage or twisted language or misspellings. Use keywords with reserve. Try using keywords appropriate to your web page. A web page about baseball should have keywords of sports, baseball, etc and not about cars, technology or books. This will be a negative in scoring with the engines. The keyword or keywords in the main products page must always be different from the individual products page. A website about orange products like jams, squashes, and juices must have keywords of oranges, fruits, and food and keywords like jams, squashes and juices on the individual pages selling these products.

Use keywords in title of the page, meta’s of the page, description of the page, headings on the page, content on the page, in alt tags, and in anchor tags. Try contacting known websites with similar content for exchanging links with your website. Linking increases relevance and page rank twice as much as content in SEO. Though, linking with well ranked and proper websites only will earn you points with the engines. Another, hitch with search engines is the way they read HTML pages. If a tag is found unclosed or complicated nested tables reside on your web page, the search engine spider might ignore your content. Take care to close all your tags and double check your nested tables.
